Significant Time to norweski kwartet z uroczego, fiordowego miasta Stavanger. Muzycy czerpią inspiracje zarówno z muzyki klasycznej jak i współczesnych nurtów jazzu. Ich ekspresja i umiejętność tworzenia niepowtarzalnej atmosfery na koncertach zyskała już uznanie norweskiej publiczności. Udaje im się grać dźwięki, które jednocześnie można odbierać jako eksperymentalne i poszerzające percepcję, a także jako pełne energii i życia. Significant Time znany jest również z otwartości do próbowania nowych instrumentów i eskperymentów z ich rolą w tworzeniu muzyki.
Anders Opdahl is from Oslo and has earned his bachelor degree i music at the Conservatory of music in Stavanger. He has played bass in a lot of different bands in different styles and also acted as a composer in all of them. He is inspired from a lot of different music like jazz, classical, contemporary, rock, soul, hip-hop and folk music and seeks to reflect this in his composing and playing. Through the conservatory in Stavanger he has had the pleassure of playing together with, amongst others, saxophone players John Surman and Jon Paal Indeberg. This year he is continuing his studies in Stavanger with a one year program, studying bass with one of norways most exiting bassplayer and composers, Per Zanussi.
Signe Irene is a young talented vocal-improviser, singer and composer from Norway. She is soon to be finished with her studies in jazz at the Music Conservatory i Stavanger. Signe Irene is known from bands like Readymade, ODEL, and Song Circus, witch is an ensemble of six professional singers living in Stavanger, Gothenburg and Oslo. Signe Irene have been working with musicans such as David Moss, Christan Wullf, Frode Gjerstad, Jaap Blonk and John Pål Inderberg.
The last few years Øyvind Gjertsen Dale has really started to make a name for himself at the norwegian jazz- and improvisational music scene. He has performed at most of the norwegian jazzclubs and jazzfestivals. He has played together with artist like Alexander von Schlippenbach, Jonas Kullhammer, Frode Gjerstad, Petter Wettre and John Paal Indeberg.
Raymond S. Lavik is an Norwegian jazzmusican and drummer from Oslo. Beside being a student of Insitute of Music and DAnce in Stavanger, he is one the most active drummers in Stavanger at the time. Raymond is inspired of drummers like Paal Nilssen-Love and Jon Fält. He has also been working with the great saxophoneplayer Gisle Johansen.
